Member Pricing $55 Led by David Donnett, Attorney Sponsored by: Available (contact heather@gcnkaa.org) EPA 608 Certification Section 608 of the Federal Clean Air Act requires that all persons who maintain, service, repair, or dispose of appliances that contain regulated refrigerants be certified in proper refrigerant handling techniques. This course is intended to prepare technicians for the certification test. There are four categories of technician certification – Type I, Type II, Type III, and Universal. The test will contain four sections and the technician must achieve a minimum passing score of 70 percent in each section in which they are to be certified. A passing score must be obtained on Section A (general questions) to receive any certification. Type I, II, and III certification will be obtained upon passing each of those sections of the test and Universal Certification requires passing all sections of the exam. Early registration is recommended in order to allow for distribution of the study manual and practice exam links. A presentation and review of the study guide will be conducted on May 8th, 9am - 1pm. Students are encouraged to study the manual before returning on May 15th to take the exam. There will be a brief review of the material starting at 9am followed by the exam.
